We went to my families cabin in Bear Lake twice. Once with some of Greg's friends from growing up and their wives and once with my family. Both times were wonderful and relaxing! We are so lucky to have a fun get a way place like that.

We also blessed baby Julianne while we were there. She wore my old blessing dress and looked beautiful. It was so fun to have close family and friends there to celebrate the day with us. We miss all of them so much when were gone.
Then we went with the Auger clan to the annual river trip. As always we had an awesome time. This was Brinley's first year floating down the river. She sat on Greg's lap and LOVED it so much. She is truly her father's daughter. At the end of the river run there is a small waterfall that sometimes frightens the smaller kids, so usually we'll pull them out before they go over, but Greg was bound and determined that Brinley go over with him. He took her down and I think that ended up being her favorite part of the whole run. She kept asking to go down the waterfall again and again. Juilanne had fun too, just sitting in her chair and being played with by all her cousins.

Julianne and Ellie. I think Juilanne looks the most like her.

One of my dearest, best friends Kajsa, also got married to her darling husband Monty! I'm so glad that I got to be there for it! They are truly an amazing couple and I love both of them so much. It was so much fun to see so many old friends at the ceremony.

After the ceremony we were walking around temple square and ran into Sister Howell, from our PA ward who is serving her mission. She is such a great missionary!

My other best friend Heather and I took Kajsa to the gateway for a fun girls night before her wedding. We went to dinner and then saw Eclipse. It was so fun to get to hang out with both of them! We always have a great time together. I'm so lucky to have always had such wonderful friends.
Greg and I also got to spend a few hours with another best friend Holly and her husband Blake. Holly and I have known each other since we were two! She just got married about a year ago and our husbands had never met! We had a blast hanging out with both of them. Whenever I'm with them, I just wish that I lived right next door. Maybe one day Holly......
Of course no trip to Utah is complete without a good ol' trip to the ER. It's happened every summer trip we've had so far. This time it was for Brinley. We decided to go and visit our dear dental student friends, the Johnson's, who we hadn't seen in over a year. They just bought a new home and had a new baby and we were so excited to see them and catch up.
Well, we hadn't been there more than 45 minutes and I looked over and saw Brinley playing with a little jewelry bead. No sooner had I looked over when she decided to put it up her nose! By the time I got over to her it was too far up there for me to get it out with my fingers. So all of us put our head together and tried to come up with different things we could use to get it out. We tried sucking it out with one of those things used to blow babies noses. We tried holding one nostril shut while she blowed with the other side. We even tried using the tool the dentist uses to scrape plaque from your teeth. Nothing was working and Brinley was freaking out!! Then we got the brilliant idea to go to our friends dental clinic and suck the living daylights out with the suction tube used to clean then spit out of your mouth. That probably would have worked if we could have held her still for a long enough time period. So after about a half hour of trying at the clinic. We decided that the only thing left to do was go to the ER. This would be Brinley's third ER visit and she's only two.
It was about 10:00 by the time we got there so I had my parents meet us at Primary Children's Hospital to take Julianne home with them. Greg and I took Brinley into the ER and luckily didn't have to wait to long to get into a room. The Dr. came in a little while later to look at her nose. Brinley would not let anyone near her with a 10 foot pole, so we had to straight jacket her down to the bed. I have never in my life seen her freak out that bad. She literally was foaming out her mouth from screaming so loud. Well, the Doc. finally was able to get a good look up her nose and they decided to use the mother of all suction tubes to get it out! They said that's what they usually do for these situations. Well they gave it a run, but we didn't see any bead come out. So the Dr. looked again. and couldn't see anything in her nose so we just assumed that she must have swallowed it somehow in the process. Since we couldn't see it or know for sure what had happened to the bead, they told us just to keep a good eye on her over the next few days to make sure she was breathing normally. We left the hospital and got home about 3 in the morning. I know it could have been much worse but we were so bummed that we didn't get to hang out with our friends. We decided to go down again to see them during our Christmas break, but this time we will be leaving Brinley with her grandparents. I wish that I had my camera there with me to document the fun night.
