Happy Halloween

I have much more that I need to blog about, but I wanted to get these Halloween pictures up now so the Grandparents could see them. We had a great time trick-or-treating with Brinley!!! Greg got VERY into it and we ended up going out for about 2 1/2 hours!!! For a little 1 year old that is a long time, but she enjoyed every second. She was the cutest little Nemo ever.

Pittsburgh/Wedding/Corn

We've been having a lot of fun the past few weeks. I guess we're just trying to fit everything in before the end of the summer.

At the beginning of August, we went to Pittsburgh to visit Greg's cousin Katie who just moved there. It was so much fun spending time with their family and going into the city. We're happy that we have some family that lives within a few hours drive.

After we got back from our trip, Brinley and I flew back to Utah for one of my best friends weddings. It was fun to spend the day with her and see old friends.

Holly and her awesome new husband Blake.

The next day Brinley and I went to West Weber, where my Mom is from, with my family for the annual corn fest! Basically we cooked a ton of corn that has been picked from my Grandpa's fields, cut it off the cobb, put it into ziplock bags and freeze enough to last the entire year. Normally I'm not around for this event, so it was fun to be apart of it with everyone.

Cousin Katie, Cousin Shannon, and aunt Lana

Brinley's favorite part was eating all the excess corn off the cob

And playing with Kole.

This is Brinley after our LONG flight home. I only wish she would have slept like this on the plaine. Greg surprised her with this balloon when he came to pick us up, she loved it!!!

A little project

Last week my friend Margie told me that her preschool was getting rid of kitchen set items. I was so excited because we've been looking for Brinley a kitchen set for a while. So I went with her to pick it up. The reason the school was getting rid of their old set was because they had gotten a new one. That being said they looked a little worn but still worked as good as new.

After picking them up and bringing them into our apartment I decided that these pieces had some potential to look really cute! The next day Brinley and I went to the store, bought some white paint and paint brushes and I went to work! It look me about 3 days from start to finish, but it was a lot of fun and I think they turned out darling!! Just call me Martha!

A Brinley Update

Our sweet little Brinley is growing like a weed. She is talking, running around and making tons of messes faster than I can clean them. I can't believe what a little sponge she has become. She is watching EVERYTHING we do. Each day she does something that makes me think to myself "how do you remember that?" Or "how did you learn to do that?" It has been a lot of fun experiencing this age with her. Even though she is busy, busy, busy, we are loving her to pieces and are having a blast watching her grow.

A few weeks ago she got this baby doll and is so cute with it! She loves holding her and wrapping her in a blanket. She also tries to feed it her food and give it a bottle. So sweet!

As of about 3 weeks ago Brinley finally learned how to climb up stairs! Thus it has made her become a climber!! She climbs on and in everything. Here she is in the toy box after climbing into it and throwing out all the toys.

She has become a lover of shoes. Both her own and others. One of her favorite places to go is the shoe store. She'll walk in and immediately start yelling "shoes, shoes, shoes!" What a girl!

Last night we took her swimming. She loves swimming almost as much as she loves going down slides, so this was the perfect place for her. As you can see she is trying to talk with all the other kids. She LOVES little kids. She calls them her "friends."

This is ironic, Brinley LOVES her toothbrush. Actually that's an understatement, she is obsessed with her toothbrush! When she wants it she says "teeth." Each morning when she wakes up she goes right to where I keep it and says "teeth, teeth, teeth." Crazy kid, you'd think her Dad was a dentist or something.

A few pictures of our Summer so far

Hello!! WOW it's been a while. Greg, Brinley, and I just got back from a month long trip to Utah. We had a great time and, as always, loved seeing our family and friends. Most of our pictures are on my Dads camera, so I'll post more later, but here are a few.

This is Brinley and her cousin Christian watching a Baby Einsteins together! They were so cute and got along very well.

Here we are at the fireworks on the 4th of July. Brinley LOVED them! It was so cute watching her experience them for the first time.

Swimming with James, Michael, and Paul.

We went to my family's Cabin in Bear Lake for a few days. It was soooo fun. Brinley spent a lot of time on this swing. Whenever she would get in it she would start saying "wee, wee, wee." It was so cute.

Both Greg and I were very shocked to see how much Brinley LOVED the cold Bear Lake water. She played in it for a long time, then we saw her lips turning purple so we took her out and she played on the beach. I wish I had the pictures, but they are on my Dad's camera.

Brinley on the swing again with Grandpa Frank and Christian.

Brinley and Uncle Jared going for a little hike.

There's nothing like girl cousins to play dress up with! Brinley wasn't even at Monet and Sabines' house for 5 minutes before they had her dressed up like a princess! She had so much fun playing with them and SCREAMED when we had to leave.

We also got together with Greg's "fab 8" friends and their families. It was so fun to see everyone again. Here is a pictures of all the kids.

One of the last things we did before we left was take Brinley to the ZOO. She had the BEST time. She is really in to animals lately and can say a lot of their names and sounds. Here she is with my Dad on the train.

I don't know if you can see this picture, but Sister Kajsa Berlin came home from her mission! Heather and I spent the morning decorating the house with balloons. It was so fun seeing her and I'm glad she's back.

All of us girls have been friends since we were like 5 years old!! That's almost 20 years!! I can't believe that. My good friend Holly is getting married and this is at her shower. I'm so excited for her!
