A fun "Jenna" weekend!

Well for the first time, since having kids, I got to have a weekend all to myself! I went to Utah for my cousins wedding and also tried to fit in as many other people as possible. It was fun indeed, but I missed my little clan the whole time.

I flew out Friday evening at 6:00pm.
The flight was by far the most foreign for me, because I actually got to sit and read a book. Normally I'm bending twisting, grabbing, and stressing trying to occupy my little nuggets, but this time I actually got to be still.

When I got off the plane to meet my ride, (one of my best friends Heather and her husband Scott) I walked down the escalator and saw this!

My other best friend Kajsa and her new dog Max came to greet me too! It was so sweet of them!

Kajsa unfortunately had to leave right after the airport, but Scott, Heather and I got to hang out for a bit. It was about 9:45 by the time we got going, and it turned out we were all hungry so we went to Iggy's sports grill to get some dinner. 10:00pm dinner with Scott and Heath, felt just like our old college days! It was so much fun to talk and catch up. I love them both! Thanks guys for such a fun night!

After dinner I drove to my parents house and the next day we got up to go to my cousin Mythanne's wedding!

I loved every minute of it. She looked so beautiful and I was so happy I got to be apart of it. Everyone just loves her new hubby Jace. They are truly perfect together. It was also fun to hang out with my other cousins and family members.

The next day, after the wedding, I went to see my other best friend (I have a lot of best friends!) Holly and her adorable new baby Brody! I was excited! He is just as perfect as can be. I'm so happy for her. It's always so fun when such a good friend enters motherhood with you! I love them both and so happy I was able to see them.

After visiting with Holly, I went back home and chatted with my Mom and Dad for a bit, then headed over to Greg's brothers house for a family get together. I loved seeing all of them, we have so much fun.

After the get together, my father in law drove me to the airport and back to my real life I went! It was wonderful to come home to my family! I miss them so much when they're not with me!

Getting ready for Halloween

Brinley's pre-school had a Halloween party, so Julianne and I got to go help out. It was really fun and Julianne loved getting to go to school with sissy.

Julianne getting to eat snacks at the "big kid table".

Playing games

The Saturday before Halloween we did our annual pumpkin carve.

Julianne did NOT want to touch inside!
The girls and I while Greg actually carved the pumpkins.
The finished product!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was so much fun this year! We had a great time taking the little girls around trick or treating. We found the perfect place to go!

This awesome neighborhood in St. Charles, where we have some friends, goes all out.

There was a house that made homemade hot chocolate, another that did hot dogs, one that had chili, one that made s'mores, and then a guy that drove his tractor up and down the street giving people hay rides. Not to mention about 5 of the houses gave out full size candy bars!

It was a blast, my camera's battery died out so I wasn't able to get a ton of pictures, but we're always going to go to this place to trick or treat from now on.

Julianne went as Nemo!
She was darling!

Brinley went as Cinderella!

Being silly!

We had such a fun night!

St Louis Zoo

We live by such a cool zoo. The best part of this zoo is the fact that it's FREE! The girls and I went with Greg's Mom a few weeks ago and I was so impressed that we went back again on Saturday with Greg.

We first went to pet the Stingrays. Greg and I had the most fun with this. Brinley was a little scared to touch and Julianne just wanted to look at them.

The next exhibit we went to was the Hippo's! It's by far my favorite feature at this zoo. I've never seen Hippo's so close in my life! They are HUGE!

And what would a zoo be without an Elephant?
The Chimp exhibit is pretty fun too. They come right up to the glass!

Julianne wasn't so sure she liked that!
This little guy just wanted to take a nap.
They even had bunny's! A little more up Julianne's alley.
We went over to see the Lion's and were so sad because we couldn't see them anywhere. Then all the sudden we looked in the tree and saw the mama! It was so neat!
She just had a baby cub a few weeks ago. The Daddy and the baby were inside so we didn't get to see them, but hopefully next time!

Brinley goes to preschool!

Last week Brinley started preschool! She is so proud! She's always been fascinated with school because that's where her daddy has gone everyday of her life.

The first day she was a little hesitant, considering she didn't know a single person there, but got through the day with "only a little bit" of crying as she told me. The next time she went she wasn't scared at all. She has always been so brave with new things.

Here she is with Greg. Both already for school. She is making a weird face.

This was Julianne on Brinley's first day.

She didn't quite know what to do with herself, but I think she enjoyed her alone time. At one point I walked into the living room and she was sprawled out on the rug just laying there looking at the ceiling. It was pretty funny.

My not so little Julianne!

Our sweet baby girl is becoming less and less of a baby. She is now sixteen months old and as sweet as ever.

This is often how I find her, if she has been left alone for a little while. She loves to climb!

She loves to color with her sister, although she usually colors herself more than the paper.

And she is finally walking! She sure took her time, but now she is all over the place.

She loves to talk (big surprise with Brinley as her sister). Her favorite words right now are baby and doggy.

She LOVES being outside and playing in the sand at the park.

Brinley and her are becoming great little friends and I often find them in their room playing. They are so cute together!

We love you Julianne!!

Our apartment

I'm finally getting around to putting up pictures of our new place.

It probably would've happened sooner, but I started reading the Hunger Game books and that's all I've been doing in my spare time for the last two weeks.

Anyway, here it is. We've really liked our place so far. It's small, but at least we fit. We pay about $300.00 less for it that our old place, and live only 10 minutes away from downtown.

There are SO many fun things to do around here, so even though our place is small, we still would LOVE to have visitors!!!

For all our Utah friends we are only a "short" 19 hour drive away, so think about it!
