Where is a Grandma when you need one?

Today has been one of "those" days where if I lived near my Mom or Greg's Mom I would have called them and said, "Please come and get your granddaughter, she and I are getting on each others nerves like you wouldn't believe and we both need a break from each other. How about a nice sleepover with your little love bug?" To which they both would have been tickled pink, stopped whatever they were doing to come to both, mine and Brinley's rescue. Don't get me wrong, I love being with Brinley most the time, but when you are with someone 24/7 with no break or anytime to miss them, you start getting upset at silly little things that don't even matter. I really feel the worst for Brinley. I'm so tired and unmotivated lately because of being pregnant and uncomfortable that I just don't have the energy or creativity to play or take her out places. We stay inside a lot and there are only so many things you can do inside before getting really bored!! So to my little love bug, I'm sorry that you have to endure these last weeks of pregnancy with me. Hopefully things will get better soon and maybe one day, just maybe, we'll live closer to a Grandma.

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day! We had a great day. Greg woke up early and made Brinley and me breakfast and I made a special Valentines dinner. Greg gave Brinley some balloons and a little stuffed Dog and she played with them all day long. Brinley LOVES balloons and really wanted to take them to church today, but we compromised and let her take the little dog instead. After dinner Brinley and I made rice krispy treats and took them around to her little friends. She had a lot of fun and so did we! Hope all of you had a great day also!

Snowed In

This past weekend we got hit with a major snow storm. It started snowing Friday evening and didn't stop until about 12 on Saturday. Overall we got about 17 inches and that was a small amount compared to other places like D.C and Maryland who got like 30. CRAZY! On Friday afternoon Greg got home from school early and knowing that we wouldn't be going anywhere all weekend we went to the Grocery store to get some stuff before the snow started falling. Everyone else must of had the same idea because the place was packed!

Brinley had a BLAST playing in the snow! Because it rarely snows here, we don't have a lot of snow stuff for her. She went out in Levi's, some knitted mittens, and some very non water proof boots. The snow came up to her waist! I still can't believe she stayed outside for almost an hour. She was soaking wet when she came in and her legs and face were bright red. It was a really fun weekend. We ate a lot of really yummy food, played games, and just hung out and did nothing!

Here was Brinley trying to make a snow angel. As you can see with snow this deep it just covered her!

After she got inside she said "I put my blankie around my legs." So she grabbed her blanket, sat in her chair and watched some shows for the next while trying to get warmed up.

This was me most the weekend. Just sittin' around doing nothing. It was lovely!

First Dentist Visit

On Saturday we took Brinley to the Dentist for the first time. She did AWESOME! So far she has beautiful healthy teeth and no cavities. After we left, she kept saying "I go to the Dentist again!" Who knows, maybe she'll go into the family business one day?

And I thought I loved you then...

Yesterday Greg and I celebrated our 5Th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful day. Greg took the morning off school and took me and Brinley to breakfast at IHOP. The last few days Brinley has had an on and off fever, but has been eating and acting normally so we haven't been able to figure out the problem. Well, as soon as we sat down in our booth and starting ordering, Brinley began throwing up all over the table. Luckily she hadn't eaten anything yet so she mainly just threw up water, but still we got horrified looks from the people sitting around to us. After she threw up she seemed all better. She ate a whole pancake and her fever never returned all day. Lucky us.
That evening Greg and I left Brinley with a babysitter and we went out to P.F Changs. It was delicious and we had a great time just the two of us.

The past five years have been full of adventure and fabulous memories. I can't wait to see what the next five have in store for us. I love you more and more each day honey! Thank you for being so amazing to me!

Merry Late Christmas

All of us had a wonderful Christmas in Utah this year. We were all healthy which is what I was hoping for most of all. Brinley REALLY got into the holiday spirit this year. She was so much fun. She sang and sang and sang all month long. Her favorite movie was Frosty the Snowman. She watched everyday, some days twice. Now she can sing every verse to the WHOLE song (it's a long song.)

Baby Update/Early Christmas

Well, I went in for my 20 week ultrasound yesterday. Going there I was about 90% sure it was a boy, but it turns out it's a girl!!! We are very excited and so is Brinley. She'll be a wonderful big sister and we're excited for her to have a little playmate for life. Greg's just excited to have more pink in the house.

We decided on a name awhile ago. It's going to be after both of her Grandma's. My Mom's name is Julie and Greg's Mom's middle name is Ann, so we are doing Julianne for her first name and Greg's Mom first name is Carole so we are doing Carole for her middle name. So it's going to be Julianne Carole.

As for everything else the baby is developing right on schedule. She is healthy and moving around all the time. I'm finally feeling better!! Thank heaven, I didn't want to be sick for the holidays. Speaking of holidays, we had an early visit from Santa Clause last night. Brinley and I are leaving on Wednesday for Utah and when you travel far away for Christmas it makes it hard to fit everything in your suitcase. So Santa, being the thoughtful guy he is, left Brinley a few gifts early.

Brinley has been getting into Christmas a lot! Her new favorite movie is Rudolph the red nosed Raindeer. She also loves the song, and the songs Santa is coming to town and Frosty the snowman. Oh and every morning the first thing she says when she wakes up is "go see the Christmas lights." She loves the lights on our tree.
