St. Patricks Day and Disney on Ice

Who gets to live in a place with a St. Patricks day parade? Apparently I did most of my life but never knew. My father in law, who is the down town mail man says that SLC has one every year. I had no idea!
Well, in St Louis it's a pretty big deal, so we decided to brave the crowds and see what it was all about.

It was pretty good. I think a one timer for us, but always good to try something new.

For the girls' birthday we got them Disney on Ice tickets. This time they were featuring Princess and the Frog, Cinderella, and Tangled.

Here's my little Rapunzel and Cinderella. They were so excited!

It was so cute! I haven't been to Disney on Ice in such a long time, but they really put on a great show. We lucked out and had awesome seats and the girls were glued the entire 2 hours.

Brinley's 4th Birthday!

My oldest has now become 4 years old! I can't believe it. I always say that every year, but it just blows my mind how fast time flies.
We had planned on having a little birthday party for her at the park by our house, since there are about 25 kids that live by us, and I needed a place to put everyone. I was so excited because the weather said that is was going to be 70 degrees that day. Well, it was indeed 70 degrees but also extremely windy, so luckily I was able to have it our club house last minute. All I can say is throwing a party for 40 people is a lot of work!
Brinley had told me she wanted a Mickey Mouse party (gotta love her)! So I went online and found these cute Mickey Mouse cupcakes, made with Oreo cookies.

The kids had fun and that's all that matters!

Here they are playing a dancing game with streamers.

The next day we had our own little quiet family party. We made homemade pizza.
Ate more cupcakes.
And of course opened presents! Here she is with her favorites! Last year my Mom and Dad gave her Lady, while we were at Disney World. So this year they decided to give her the Tramp. She was so excited! As soon as she opened it, she ran upstairs, grabbed Lady and said "Oh Lady your husband is here!" It was pretty cute. Then Greg and I gave her a Rapunzel barbie (her first barbie)! We also got her and Julianne tickets to Disney on Ice with Rapunzel, but it's a surprise, so I'll post pics after we go next week.

Happy Birthday to our crazy, happy, funny, silly, sweet, friendly Brinley. We love you!

It's happened

a little sooner than I expected, but its happened.

Julianne has discovered the wonderment of Tangled.

Now there is no going back. She is hooked. Not that I blame her, it is amazing.

I am awoken each morning to "Rapunzel show please" "Rapunzel show please." I love it 'cause it gives me 20 or so more minutes of sleep.

I'm also graced with hearing her sing "....and at last I see the light......" over and over and over again throughout the day. I'm not going to lie, it's pretty darn cute!

I love having girls!!!

Valentines Day

I love Valentines day!

This year was so much fun because Brinley got to go to her first school Valentines party. She got to wear her p.j's and thought that was the neatest thing ever! When I picked her up she was beaming with excitement over all the little cards and candy she received from her friends and teachers.

Later in the day I took both the girls around the neighborhood to deliver their valentines to their friends. It was so cute.

Here is my attempt to get a sweet picture of the two of them in their Valentines shirts. It was a chore.

They say a picture's worth a thousand words, and this pretty much sums up my life perfectly right now.

That's as good as it got!

Then I made our favorite salmon with peach salsa for dinner! It was yummy as always!

Greg brought me home the prettiest pink tulips.

Whenever we go to Costco, we always have to stop and let the girls hold these teddy bears that they love. So, we surprised them and gave them each one! As if they don't already have enough stuffed animals.

More "lovely" pictures.

After putting the kids in bed, Greg and I enjoyed eating this amazingly good dessert given to us by my friend Lilly, from Brazil. It tasted as good as at looked!

It was a great day!

Still my Valentine!

A Big Catch Up

It's been awhile.....but I still want to backtrack and post some pictures of all our holiday fun!
We will start with Thanksgiving. I wish I had more pictures to give this trip justice, but it really was so much fun!
For the first time in 4 years my whole family was able to spend Thanksgiving together. All of us met at my brother's house in Mississippi. We did a lot of cooking and a lot of playing!
The kids had so much fun with their cousin Christian and their grandparents.
As for our Thanksgiving feast, it was out of this world GOOD! My brother has become quite the talented chef, and had us make everything from scratch. Seriously everything, all the way down to the cranberry sauce. It was a ton of work, but soooo worth it in the end!
We were so happy to be together!

After Thanksgiving, we started getting ready for Christmas! We baked and baked and the girls were a "Big" help!

We went to a fun Christmas parade in St Charles.

Then we headed to Utah! It was so much fun to see everyone again. The girls were beyond excited for Christmas! They got some fun gifts and loved getting to play with their cousins and grandparents.

We also got together with some old friends!

Then we came home and celebrated the new year!

A week later we celebrated my 27th birthday! I got the best gift of all, 70 degree weather! That's only happened one other time in my life, while we lived in Philadelphia.

So we took advantage went to the Zoo.

Then of course had some cake!
