Utah Summer 2013

We had another successful Utah trip this summer. Papa was kind enough to fly out with the me so that the girls and I could go before Greg. He was a big help!

Mckay did awesome on the flight and slept the whole time. When we got to my Mom's house he was in heaven because he got rocked to sleep nearly every night by Grandma Julie! It was so much fun to introduce him to everyone. We also blessed him while we were there, but of course those pictures are on my dads camera.

We met my friend Holly at a slash pad one afternoon. Lots of fun, but Julianne decided she didn't want to go in.
What trip would be complete without a trip to the cabin? Jared and Kristin and the boys were there too! IT was so much fun. Not a lot of sleep, but a lot of fun!

 At the fire pit

Greg's brother Danny and his family were living at Mike and Carole's while waiting to move to California. They have an adorable dog named Sparrow and my girls love her! One night Julianne fell asleep next to her, so cute!
 Staring to give BIG smiles!
My dear friends Kajsa and Heather. Kajsa and I had baby boys, one day apart.
Baby Mana and Mckay! Friends already, wearing their matching hats Heather gave to them.
We even made it to the river! Greg took the girls overnight and they slept in a tent with all the Beattie boys! The next morning I left Mckay with Grandma Julie and drove up with my brother in law Brock for the day. It was a good time.
 Ellie and Brinley
Meagan, Jen, Eve, Addy, Emma, Mary, Tim and I getting ready to go down the river!
 Aunt Jeanie, Rachelle,and Jennie.
 Brinley and Lukey boy!
Us with Katie, James, Rachelle and Michael.
Playing with Grandma Carole in the river!
After the first run. Julianne was one and done, but Brinley is just like her Daddy and LOVES to go down again and again! She even went down on her own tube for the first time. That's a big momentous moment for a kid in this family. Way to go Brinley!
Julianne sadly got her first bee sting! So sad. She cried for a long time!
 Visiting Great Grandma Egginton.
Last hurrah at the Zoo before school starts! We even got to ride the train!

Good times!

First Part of Summer

After Mckay was born, summer came in full swing. Good thing Mckay was an easy going newborn and just went with the flow! My Dad was able to come out for a few days while my mom was here helping us. I don't have a lot of pictures of everything that we did but we sure had a great time!

This is Claire and Ethan, they moved in a year ago for their Dads fellowship program. Brinley and Julianne have LOVED playing with them. This is a picture of them together right before they moved. Our first of many friends to say goodbye too over the next few months.

McKay Michael Carr

Mckay Michael Carr was born Wednesday, May 29th 2013. His coming on that day was nothing short of a miracle!
My Dr, whom I loved and wanted so desperately to deliver me, was leaving to go on a two week vacation. His last day was May 29th, one week before my due date. Because I was attempting a VBAC, there was no possible way of inducing me. So that meant I had to go all on my own if I wanted him to do the delivery. Lucky for me my past two children were early and I was progressing very well each week. Still the date was drawing near and no baby!
Well the night before the 29th I was feeling oh so discouraged. I was SO ready for this baby to come but started preparing myself for a major let down.
It just so happened that a new ortho family was moving in that evening and so Greg, the girls and I went to help move them in. I basically just watched the men carry in boxes and visited with the people there. Not much help, but I was able to get my mind off of it for a while.
That night I said the biggest prayer ever explaining again why I so desperately wanted this baby to come out tomorrow and then left it in the Lords hands and went to bed.
That night I kept dreaming all about the move that I had gone to earlier. Every time I would see someone lift a box I would start to feel this funny pain, all while I was dreaming. Well after sometime the funny little pain woke me up and I looked at the clock to see it was 2:00am. I laid back down, but kept feeling that funny pain about every 4 to 5 minutes. I thought to myself "could this really be it? Am I really that lucky!" Well, sure enough that "funny little pain, turned into full blown hurtful contractions. I knew what that meant and I was not about to stick around any longer. I woke Greg up and called my sweet neighbor Diana to come stay with the kids and by 3:00am we were on our way to the hospital! God really does answer prayers!
Shortly after we arrived I was admitted into L&D. The second I laid down in the bed my nurse checked me and I was at a 6! She asked me if I would be wanting an epidural! I said "Oh Yeah, as soon as possible please!" Within 5 minutes a jolly Anaesthesiologist man came wheeling his cart in and I have never been so happy! He did a wonderful epidural, that still allowed me to feel my legs, but no pain! At this time it was about 4:15.
I kept progressing really well and at about 10:00am my Dr. came in and I was ready to push.

Here I am right before the big moment!
After about 20 or so minutes of pushing, out came our beautiful baby boy! McKay Michael Carr was 21 1/2 inches and weighted 7lb 12oz. Our biggest baby yet.

The second I saw him, I knew that he was ours!
Instant love! Nothing like it in the world!

This girl waited so long for this! She loves him to pieces!
Julianne is such a good big sister. She kept saying to us "I just love my new brother."
 First family picture!
 Such a handsome boy!
The day we brought him home!
All of our good friends there to greet us. I can't even tell you what a huge help they were to me during the first weeks home! They brought meals, took the girls for me, and just were so awesome. I can't thank them enough.
My mother in law Carole was also wonderful. We called her on the way to the hospital and she flew out to take care of the girls that afternoon. They had so much fun with her! We are so lucky to have her. Greg took this picture one night, she even let them sleep with her!
My mom came out to help about a week later. She was super helpful too! We love it when she comes!

Mothers day/Brinleys Graduation

Here are a few pictures of what we have been up too the past couple months.

8 months prego! Feeling very ready!
Mothers Day morning breakfast. Greg always does such a good job making this a special day for me! I woke up to a yummy french toast breakfast. On the table when I came down, there was beautiful flowers and three sweet cards from Julianne, Brinley and Greg. The girls had also gone to the dollar store the night before and picked me out some gifts. Brinley gave me a staue of a dolphin and Julianne gave me a candle. So sweet!

Getting excited to become a mother of three very soon!
My dear friends that live by me gave me a shower to help welcome out first baby boy! It was so sweet of them!
Some of the people there: Tiffany, Diana, April, Cynthia, Marie of course taking the picture!
This was such a proud day for me and Greg! Brinley graduating pre school! She was so cute as she walked into the room, waving her little hand with a very shy look on her face. (I don't get to see that side of her too often.)
Brinley up on the stage singing. Sitting by her best friend at school, Elenore.
Brinley in her classroom with her friends
 Brinley and Julianne
 All of us together.
So happy for my little graduate! Can't believe how big she is getting! LOVE HER!
